UPDATE: Our SOLD OUT 17th Annual Cash & Bike Bash
Tuesday, May 18, 2021
IMPORTANT INFORMATION for our 2021 17th Annual Cash & Bike Bash to be held Saturday, June 5, 2021 from noon to 5PM.
UPDATE: Warning – Long Post, if you plan to attend please read.
First we’d like to thank all of our supporters who purchased tickets to make our 17th Annual Cash & Bike Bash sellout the fastest it ever has!!! We sold-out the week of March 29th. A BIG thank you to our sponsors! There are still sponsor slots available.
We have been preparing to hold this event LIVE and to deal with COVID since last year. But with the recent announcements of the State of Maryland, it will make our event easier to conduct. HOWEVER, we will still have COVID and the safety of our patrons at the highest priority. We prepared for COVID and will have all CDC guidelines for health and safety in place and we hope you will abide by those.
We are sold out of the “Main $40 Ticket.” As in the past, we will offer a $25, “Auxiliary Entry Ticket” on a first come, first serve basis. These tickets are limited to only 125 and are SOLD ONLY the day of the event. In the past we had 1 entry-way into our event. As part of our COVID plans, we will have two-entrance points. One on the north side of the firehouse (traditional) and a second entrance on the south side, near the flag garden. The Auxiliary Tickets will ONLY BE SOLD at the south entrance!
Now the FUN Stuff! As you know the Main Ticket gets you in-the-door and registered for all the goodies to include all the food and drink you can eat, the live entertainment with the band Front Page News and DJ Mike Shannon, chances at the $250 cash every 10 minutes, $1,000 3PM cash drawing and the grand prize of 2021 Harley-Davidson “Billiard Red” Street Glide valued at $22,500. Over $30,000 in ticketed prizes. Plus during the day we giveaway another $15,000 in other raffles of cash and merchandise (see below).
Also held during the day are a Chinese Auction with some really great prizes, such as a group fishing trip valued at $500+, local town packages for goods and services and some special surprises. New this year, along with separate gun and cash raffles is a separate raffle for a Pitt Boss Hammer Tone Grille/Smoker with blue tooth temperature control. Those tickets are $5 each or 3 for $10. The Pitt Boss Grille/Smoker tickets are available for sale now and can be purchased from members or at the firehouse (no online sales at this moment). Only 500 tickets will be sold for the Pitt Boss. Of those 500 we will use 150 of those for our famous TUMBLER raffle (see attached photo). This year’s Tumblers will be sold as follows: 25 - $100 Tumblers with a value of at least $100 and some with more! ....…a lot more and some with hundreds of dollars in cash stuffed inside. We will sell 75 - $50 Tumblers with at least $50 value and some with cash inside. The Tumblers will be stuffed with Chinese Auction, Gun, Cash, Pitt Boss tickets, T-shirt vouchers just to name a few. Plus you keep the nice RITC Tumbler (a $20 Value). Speaking of T-shirts, those will be available while supplies last. We will also have 2020 T-shirts available from last year (event wasn’t held due to COVID).
Our Auxiliary of the fire company will hold a silent auction with some great items, all donated by local businesses. Plus they will feature their famous BAKE TABLE auction. Homemade cakes and goodies all made locally and all scrumptious!
Now for some rules for this year:
We have planned since last year’s virtual event on how to hold our 2021 Cash & Bike Bash Live and at the firehouse. We want to make sure everyone is safe and we will follow all local health, state and CDC guidelines. Due to those requirements we choose NOT to offer private tables this year. So all tables and chairs are first come, first serve. We have limit seating inside the firehouse engine bay, but have added outside covered seating to make up the seats we lost inside. Large tents will be erected on the south side of the firehouse for cover and you are free to bring your our chair. There will be vendors, so space many be limited for those who bring their own chair. Our Dining hall area has been reduced with seating. This area is usually a refuge from the heat and the only air-conditioned space for the day. There will be limited occupancy inside the dining hall.
Food! All the food you expect, including our famous clam fritters. Typically we serve food only inside the dining hall. But this year we will offer our clam fritters and fries on the south side of the firehouse near the “wagons.” Only clam fritters and fries will be available at our covered outside location. Inside you will find all the other great foods like, the clam fritters and fries, hotdogs, pulled pork BBQ, slaw, bake beans and all the condiments. The food this year will be prepared in covered or wrapped containers and will be limited to two per person each trip through the line, but you can enter the line as many times as you want. In order to be served with food and drink WRIST BANDS, new this year, must be worn by all patrons. You will NOT BE SERVED without a wrist band. NO EXCEPTIONS! Those bands will also help us delineate between 21 and over and 18 to 20 year old. REMEMBER you must have a ticket to enter and be at least 18 years of age. Your safety and health is our primary concern. We will have hand sanitizer stations around the grounds. Mask available for those who would like them and we encourage all patrons to follow our rules. We expect you to have fun, but we also reserve the right to ask you to leave for any reason seen fit by the company. As always we will have security on-site, but out of view (use your imagination).
And finally, parking. Parking is limited and may be hard to find at times. Please follow the directions of our Fire Police. We ask you not to park on private property, along state and county roads and anywhere unsafe. Doors open at 11AM and we ask you to be patient with us as we setup prior to opening. Some of you have arrived as early as 9AM and NO ONE will be admitted until we are setup up and ready (hopefully by 11AM) and the first drawing won’t occur until 12:10 PM. The Tumblers will not be available for sale until 12:45PM. If lines form we ask you to use courtesy and distance.
So please have fun, be safe and courteous during our 5 hour event. Again doors open at 11AM, to include the $25 auxiliary (limited sales of 125 tickets) with the first cash drawing at 12:10PM. The 2021 Harley, big gun and Pitt Boss smoker will be awarded at 5PM.
Thank you to all who purchased tickets so early. We look forward to seeing everyone on Saturday, June 5, 2021 from noon to 5PM!
